Video Transcript

Why did you decide to train to teach?

I decided to train to teach because of the influence that my secondary school teachers had on me.

I had really good relationships with my teacher in secondary school we got on really well and it influenced my education so I would like to be that for our next generation of secondary school pupils.

Why did you choose to train with Stockton Teacher Training Partnership?

I chose to join the Stockton SCITT because it was one of the only training providers to offer drama for secondary school trainees and that’s a subject I would like to teach. I also looked at the Ofsted rating for Stockton SCITT and it was outstanding so that was a real big selling point for me and also I’d heard of the reputation, it had a really good one so I thought that it would be the best training provider for myself to go for.

What would you say to anyone considering training to teach with Stockton teacher training partnership?

I would say do it and it will be one of the best decisions that you ever make you’ll be really well supported, you’ll get a lot of time with peers, you’ll get a lot of time in school and it gives you a real feel for what it is going to be like to be a teacher.
